Ahmed Emara

Private Equity Sector

Responsibilities

  • Initiating 2-3 sector specific events annually with support from the HBS office team.
  • Provide sponsorship opportunities amounting to USD 50,000 anually.
  • Develop a creative way to add value to the me ally and regionally.

Key Achievement

  • Approached 4 of the mega corporates in the region, in which 2 responded positively

  • follow up on sponsorship leads
  • follow up on speakers for events

Private Equity Sector

Responsibilities

  • Initiating 2-3 sector specific events annually with support from the HBS office team.
  • Provide sponsorship opportunities amounting to US$ 50,000 annually.
  • Develop creative ways to add value to members to build a strong HBS community locally and regionally

Priorities

  • Secure key sponsors for the house.

Mohamed Hegazi

Energy Sector

Needs

  • Access to HBS records of Alumni sponsored by major energy/ power companies (ADNOC, ARAMCO, PDO, Schlumberger, KOC, Hitachi, Siemens, Baker Hughes, GE)
  • Clarity on ability to provide HBS professor sessions in the region
  • Support for Sept event

Challenges

  • Outreach starting from scratch.
  • Incomplete Alumni by company record
  • Establishing a “Whats in it for me” for the community

Priorities

  • Engagement of Aramco Alumni in Saudi Crossroads
  • Establishing interest sponsorship in HBS House in UAE (ongoing with ADNOC, ARAMCO, SLB, Valaris)
  • HBS in COP28 (event in SEPT)

Strategy

  • Create a quality, fit for purpose, engaged community of Alumni with focus on National Energy companies.
  • Prioritize Quality over Quantity.
  • Clear Win Win that encourages sponsorship and participation
